So, this is the first annual PhilnLeah Christmas card. This year has been, in all likelyhood, one of the most eventful years of our lives. We've graduated, married, and begun our real lives.
Both Leah and I graduated from Penn in May, our prior college experiences this year having largely centered around:

WeddingLeah and I were married on July 22. The weather was incredible, and everyone had a wonderful time. The pictures, though, show more than my ramblings do. |
We started renting a condo in Plainsboro, NJ (just outside of
Princeton). We're in a development called Aspen, which is
one of the many developments along the aptly-named Plainsboro
Rd. Here is a map.
PuppiesWe have aquired two cavalier king charles spaniels, named Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. Although, some people are under the impression that we have, in fact, been deceived, and that Guildenstern is actually a cleverly disguised wily monkey. If this were the case, we would feel rather dumb (cavalier king charles spaniels share very little DNA with monkeys, and, therefore, tend not to be mistaken for them). Here are a few more pictures of these crazy little guys. |

LeahLeah began working for Princeton Consultants as a Senior Associate after our graduation. She has aquired a highly productive role in the company rather quickly, and I am very proud of her achievements, although, I am rather concerned that she might mutate into a Canadian on one of her business trips to Toronto for Canadian National. Fortunately, this has not happened already (Canadians share very little DNA with humans, and, therefore, tend not to be mistaken for them). |
PhilI have started a software company, Gazpacho Computing, Inc., with a friend from college, Andy Riddle. The company's current direction is to develop software optimization products for small and wireless computing devices. My work so far this year has been on Dovetail, a Java bytecode-level optimizer. This is, by far, the largest project that I have ever written (currently, over 17,000 lines), and my hope is to complete a prototype by the end of this year. Also, we have just aquired some office space at the Port of Technology in Philadelphia. |
We'd like to send out a huge thank-you to all of our friends and family who have been so supportive of all our endeavors this year. We are clearly blessed to have such a great group of people behind us.
Our best wishes for a safe and happy Christmas,
Phil and Leah Schanely
