Welcome to the 5th annual PhilnLeah Christmas card. I imagine that, by now, some of you are wondering why this is the "PhilnLeah" card, and not the (slightly more gramatical) "Phil and Leah" card. Well, the term, "PhilnLeah" comes from our college days (which, by the way, were summarized quite nicely in the first PhilnLeah Christmas card). It refers to the fact that we come as a pair and are pretty much indistinguishable. Case in point: take a look at the image on the left. Is Leah on the left and Phil on the right? Or is Phil on the right and Leah on the left? The world may never know. |

AbbieWe became godparents for Abbie this year; she is the second child of our good friends, Katie and Red. Leah is pictured here performing the most vital of the godparently duties, "proper laptop operation". |

Vacations by the DozenWe were able to take a number of trips this year (those frequent flier miles aren't going to spend themselves). On the top are pictures from long-weekend trips to Isle Au Haut, Maine and Dinasaur National Monument, Utah. Pictured below them are the annual favorites, The Outer Banks, North Carolina and Marco Island, Florida. |

DogsI'm sure you've all been waiting for this year's dog-couch picture. Believe it or not, there actually is a couch under all that plastic and packing materials. As you can see, the dogs did a great job in helping us get ready to move -- we couldn't have done it without them. Apart from the change in scenery, this year's picture is more-or-less identical to last year's card. Rosie had surgery performed on her left rear leg this year to correct a common breed problem, luxating patella. Since Leah and I have been traveling to Jacksonville so often, these guys have spent plenty of time at Jeremy's and Cara's place. |

ProfessionalLeah continued her work with the CSX dispatching team this year. I was brought on to do various other projects for the same group, so we were able to travel together for most of the year. It looks like Leah's work isn't winding down, and I may end up on a different CSX project on the intermodal side, so I am predicting continued travel in 2005. |
That wraps up the five year anniversary Christmas card. Has it really been five years? I doubt it; it's more likely that a Chirstmas Elf has arrived and sprinkled some magic time-advancing dust on us. Mark my words, merry Christmas Elf; you have not heard the last of "PhilnLeah"!
Happy holidays,
Phil and Leah Schanely
